Callbacks: Saturday, Sept 12 at BOTG studio
Rehearsals: beginning October 1st, Wednesday and Thursday evenings, Sunday afternoons (there may be additional Saturday rehearsals in Dec)

Audition Information

Please prepare one up-tempo pop or musical theatre song with a track, bluetooth speaker will be available.

You will be emailed a link to script sides on August 28.

A dance call will be held each evening so please be prepared in clothing and footwear that you are comfortable dancing in.
Character Breakdown
*if the character is noted as any gender, the name may change to best represent the actor cast. If the age has “+” after it it is open to anyone who feels they suit the part over the minimum age.
Elphabeneezer Scrooge (F, 20-40)
A grumpy witch with a big life lesson to learn. Dry humour, great sarcasm, plays both teen and adult versions of the character. Great singer, good mover/dancer, comfortable with audience interaction.
Alto to Mezzo; musical theatre and pop
Glinda (F, 20-40)
The bright and cheery leader of Ozville who has very different public and private personas. Plays both teen and adult versions of the character. Great singer, good dancer, comfortable with audience interaction.
Mezzo; pop spanning styles and eras.
Dr. Morrible (drag queen, 25+)
A mash-up of mad scientist and wizard, this baddie sidekick dreams of being the greatest super villain. Great comic timing and physical comedy, good singer, comfortable with audience interaction.
Fresca Scrooge (F, 17-30)
The eternally positive, Christmas-loving younger sister of Elphabeneezer. Plays both teen and adult versions of the character. Good singer, good dancer.
Fire O. (M, 20-40)
Charismatic new kid who discovers he is more than his looks and cool persona. Plays both teen and adult versions of himself. Good singer, good dancer.
Baritone to Tenor
Broc (M, 17-30)
Wholesome, sweet, usually feels invisible. Good singer, mover. May play additional tracks.
Adult Tracks
(they will play named character amongst others)
Bob Scratchitt + (M, 30+)
The nervous patriarch of the flying monkeys family.
Emily Scratchitt + (F, 30+)
The matriarch of the flying monkeys.
Doc Brown + (E, 40+)
Mad scientist, wild-eyed, curious, focused - takes on the responsibility of Spirit of Christmas Future
Miss Piggy + (F, 25+)
Typical Miss Piggy, she is bright, bossy, and obsessed with glamour - takes on responsibility of Christmas Present
*There will be other adult tracks that play a number of smaller speaking characters, please note “adult track” in your submission if you do not want to submit for above roles but would like a speaking role.
Youth/Teen Tracks

Tiny Tom Scratchitt (M, 8-15)
Donut-loving Tiny Tom is a gentle and kind flying monkey. Please note the actor does not actually need to be tiny.
Nikko Scratchitt (any gender, 12-16)
Teenaged flying monkey who doesn’t like the castle rules.
Cindy Lou Who (F, 8-12)
Innocent, curious, loves Christmas.

Ensemble (all genders, aged 14+)
Seeking actors, dancers, singers to fill out a variety of roles throughout the show (Flying monkeys, Ozvillians, students, etc).
