Rehearsals to begin weekly (Tuesdays) in early July, and 3x weekly (Tuesday, Thursday nights and Saturday afternoons) beginning mid-August.

All rehearsals will be at the new BOTG Studio in Oakville, Ontario.

Open auditions are welcome to anyone 18 years and older.

Booking your audition


  • Auditions slots are ten minutes each and must be booked in advance.

  • An audition slot may be reserved online at

  • Please arrive at least 15 minutes in advance.


For the audition


  • Please bring a current headshot/photo and acting resume.

  • Please prepare a contemporary monologue of any style, 1- 2 mins in length, preferably memorized.

  • Please dress comfortably and familiarize yourself with the play and its characters in advance. You may also be asked to do a cold read of the text.

Middle-aged and married, overworked and overweight, Barney Cashman wants to join the sexual revolution before it's too late and arranges three seductions: the first, Elaine Navazio proves to be a foul-mouthed bundle of neuroses; Bobbi Michele is next, a 20-ish actress who's too kooky by half; finally comes September and Jeanette Fisher, a gloomy, depressed housewife who happens to be married to Barney's best friend.




BARNEY CASHMAN (Male, any ethnicity,  plays 45-60yrs.)

Owner of a New York seafood restaurant, who is facing a severe midlife crisis. 


ELAINE NAVAZIO (Female, any ethnicity, plays 30-40yrs.)

a somewhat coarse woman in her late thirties who believes, when she accepts Barney’s invitation to meet him at his mother’s apartment, that he wants only a quick sexual encounter. 

BOBBI MICHELE (Female, any ethnicity, plays 21-28yrs.)

Unemployed entertainer who visits Barney to repay twenty dollars that he loaned to her to pay an accompanist who assisted her during an audition.


JEANETTE FISHER (Female, any ethnicity, plays 25-30yrs.)

A family friend, a very depressed lady who has decided to repay her husband’s confession of infidelity by having an affair with Barney.
